This article explains how to change your Rackwave account password — both when you know your current password and when you have forgotten it. It also covers password requirements and best practices for keeping your account secure.
Changing Your Password (When Logged In)
If you are already logged in and want to update your password:
- Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
- Select My Account or Profile Settings.
- Scroll to the Change Password section.
- Enter your current password in the first field.
- Enter your new password in the second field.
- Re-enter the new password in the Confirm New Password field.
- Click Update Password.
Your password is updated immediately. You will remain logged in on your current session, but any other active sessions will be invalidated and will require the new password to log in again.

- Wait up to 5 minutes — email delivery may be slightly delayed.
- Try requesting the reset email again from the Forgot Password page.
- If the problem persists, contact support with your registered email address and company name.
Password Security Best Practices
- Use a unique password — never reuse a password you use for another service.
- Use a password manager — tools like 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass generate and store strong passwords securely.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) — adds a second layer of protection so your account remains secure even if your password is compromised. See: How to enable two-factor authentication.
- Never share your password — Rackwave support staff will never ask for your password.
- Change your password immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Do not use personal information such as your name, birthdate, or company name in your password.
What to Do If Your Account Is Compromised
- Immediately change your password using the steps above.
- Go to Profile Settings and revoke all active sessions.
- Review your API keys and revoke any that you do not recognise.
- Check your subscription status to ensure no unauthorised changes were made.
- Contact Rackwave support to report the incident.
