A Rackwave subscription is your active access to a specific platform — such as MigoSMTP or Telnxo. This article explains how subscriptions work, what each status means, how billing cycles apply, and what happens when a subscription changes state.
What Is a Subscription?
When you choose a plan on any Rackwave platform, a subscription (also referred to as a service) is created and linked to your account. This subscription:
- Grants you access to the chosen platform via Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Defines your plan tier and its associated limits (email quota, SMTP accounts, SMS credits, etc.).
- Determines your billing cycle — monthly, yearly, or one-time.
- Controls your workspace on the platform — your data, settings, and usage are tied to this subscription.
Trial vs Paid Subscription
| Trial | Paid Subscription | |
|---|---|---|
| Duration | 14 days | Monthly or yearly from purchase date |
| Cost | Free — no credit card required | Per plan pricing; invoice generated on activation |
| Features | Full platform access with limited quotas | Full features as per your chosen plan |
| Sending limits | Restricted volume to prevent abuse | Full plan quota (e.g. 30,000 emails/month) |
| Data retained? | Yes — all trial data carries over on upgrade | Yes — maintained throughout subscription |
| What happens at end? | Access suspended until upgrade to paid plan | Auto-renewed or suspended if invoice unpaid |
Subscription Lifecycle
Every subscription follows a predictable lifecycle. Understanding each stage helps you avoid unexpected service interruptions.
- Pending — subscription has been created but not yet activated (e.g. awaiting payment).
- Trial — free 14-day access is active; platform is fully accessible.
- Active — paid subscription is live; full quota and features available.
- Suspended — service paused, typically due to an overdue invoice or admin action.
- Expired — trial or subscription period has lapsed without renewal.
- Cancelled — subscription has been terminated; data may be retained for a grace period.
Billing Cycles
Paid subscriptions are available on the following billing cycles:
| Cycle | Invoice Frequency | Typical Saving |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | One invoice per month, due on renewal date | Standard rate |
| Yearly | One invoice per year, billed in advance | Up to 20% discount vs monthly |
| One-time | Single payment; no recurring charge | Varies by product |
Multiple Subscriptions
A single Rackwave account can hold subscriptions to multiple platforms simultaneously. For example:
- MigoSMTP — 30k Email SMTP Server (Active, Monthly)
- Telnxo — Free Trial (Trial, expires in 7 days)
Each subscription is independent — its billing, quota, and status are managed separately. You will receive separate invoices for each active paid subscription.
What Happens to My Data?
| Scenario | Data Status |
|---|---|
| Trial ends — not upgraded | Preserved; accessible again immediately on upgrade |
| Subscription suspended (overdue invoice) | Preserved; restored on payment |
| Subscription cancelled by client | Preserved for grace period (typically 30 days), then scheduled for deletion |
| Plan upgraded | All existing data, settings, and sending history carried forward |
