Rackwave uses a role-based access control (RBAC) system to ensure each team member only has access to the features and data relevant to their responsibilities. This article defines each role, lists the permissions it carries, and explains how to assign or change roles.

How to Change a Team Member's Role
- Log in as the Account Owner or an Admin.
- Go to Team Members in your account settings.
- Find the team member whose role you want to change.
- Click the Edit icon or their name to open their profile.
- Select the new role from the Role dropdown.
- Click Save.
- The new permissions take effect immediately on their next page load or login.
Transferring Account Ownership
The Account Owner role can be transferred to another existing team member. This is a one-way, irreversible action unless the new owner transfers it back:
- Go to Team Members.
- Click on the team member you wish to make the new Owner.
- Select Transfer Ownership from their profile options.
- Confirm the transfer — you will be downgraded to Admin immediately.
