MigoSMTP includes a template library of professionally designed, prebuilt email templates covering common use cases — from transactional confirmations to marketing newsletters and promotional campaigns. This article explains how to browse the library, select a template, customise it for your brand, and publish it for use.
What Is the Template Library?
The template library is a collection of ready-to-use email templates that are:
- Professionally designed — clean, modern layouts that look polished across all major email clients.
- Fully responsive — each template renders correctly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Cross-client tested — verified in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and popular mobile clients.
- Fully customisable — every colour, font, image, and text element can be changed to match your brand.
- Variable-ready — templates include
{{variable_name}}placeholders for personalisation.

How to Browse and Select a Template
- Go to Templates → Template Library (or click Start from Library when creating a new template).
- Browse templates by category using the filter tabs at the top.
- Hover over any template thumbnail to see a full-size desktop and mobile preview.
- Click Use This Template to create a copy in your workspace.
- The template opens in the editor — your copy is fully independent from the library original.
Customising a Prebuilt Template
After selecting a template, customise it for your brand before publishing:
| Element to Customise | How |
|---|---|
| Logo | Click the logo placeholder image → upload your logo file or paste a URL → set alt text to your company name |
| Brand colours | Click any coloured element → update hex codes in the Properties panel → apply the same changes globally using the Global Styles palette |
| Headline text | Double-click any text block to edit directly. Replace placeholder copy with your own. |
| CTA button | Click the button → update text in Properties → update URL to {{cta_url}} or a specific page → adjust colour to match brand |
| Hero image | Click the hero image placeholder → upload a new image or update the URL → always update alt text |
| Footer details | Update company name and physical address → ensure the unsubscribe link uses {{unsubscribe_url}} or your own unsubscribe endpoint |
| Subject line | Update in the template metadata fields at the top of the editor page (not in the canvas) |
Creating a Brand Style Guide Template
Once you have customised one library template to match your brand (logo, colours, fonts, footer), save it as your master brand template. Use this as the starting point for all future campaigns rather than the raw library originals:
- Customise a library template with your full brand identity.
- Remove the campaign-specific content (hero image, headline, body copy, CTA) leaving only the brand chrome (header, footer, colours).
- Save it as Brand Master Template.
- For each new campaign, duplicate the master and add campaign-specific content — not starting from a blank library template each time.
